Sod installation
New sod gives you a finished lawn in a day, but how well it takes depends on the prep underneath. We remove the old turf and weeds, grade for drainage, prepare the soil and lay sod tight with staggered seams so it roots in evenly.

Picking the right grass
Bermuda loves full sun and recovers fast from wear. Zoysia is dense and handles a bit more shade. Tall fescue is the go-to for shadier yards. We'll recommend a grass based on your sun, use and how much maintenance you want. Our guide to grass types goes deeper.

Questions people ask
When is the best time to lay sod in Georgia?
Warm-season grasses like Bermuda and zoysia establish best from late spring through summer. Tall fescue does best in fall.
How often should new sod be watered?
Keep it consistently moist for the first couple of weeks while it roots, then water less often and more deeply. We'll give you a schedule for your sod and season.
Can you fix drainage while you're at it?
Yes. Grading for drainage is part of good sod prep, and bigger drainage fixes can be added to the estimate.
